The Orichas

The Orichas (Orishas) are the intermediaries between God and human beings.  They're associated with elements in the natural world.  In Cuba, many people refer to the Orichas as Santos, or Saints, hence the name SanterĂ­a for the religion. The Orichas are semi-divine beings with some human traits.
